Entering its 24th year, the Charlotte SouthPark Turkey Trot is Charlotte’s longest-running road race event. But more than that, it’s a Charlotte Thanksgiving Day tradition for families and friends and a happy and healthy way to start off one of the best days of the year!

A separate entry form is required for each person entering the Charlotte Turkey Trot. All fees are non-refundable. Make checks payable to RMSSports. T-Shirts are ONLY guaranteed to preregistered (by 11/19/12) participants of the 8K, 5K Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run, and then on a first-come, first-serve basis until quantities are gone.
Tot Trot participants will receive a medal. & New this year Youth size Tshirts!
Registered participants can make changes to their registration up until November 18th. After that changes can be made at packet pickup on Wednesday, November 21st, but there will be a $10 fee. There will be no changes allowed on race day.
For the very first time the Charlotte South Park Turkey Trot is pleased to offer participants the option of getting a regular 100% Cotton long-sleeve T-shirt, OR (for an additional $15) a high quality New Balance technical long-sleeve T-shirt (a $30 value).

TOT TROT: registration is $10.00 until 11/15 and $12.00 after that. New this year all children receive youth size tshirts and finishers medals. Children ages walking through 6 years old will run a children’s marathon distance of 26.2 yards beginning at 10 a.m. Children will compete within their own age divisions.

Packet Pick-up will take place on Wednesday, November 21st from 1pm to 7pm at Southpark Mall in Front of Dicks Sporting Goods and Sympony Park in a big Tent also Post Race Festivities are located here in Symphony park, just off Barkley Downs.
PACKET MAILED- Save time! You can opt to have your complete packet mailed to you with bib#, Tshirt and packet items. The majority of this fee is going to the processing the mailouts and to charity. Deadline to participate is Nov. 2, 2012.

A portion of race proceeds from the Charlotte Turkey Trot goes to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training, Partners for Parks and the Sharon United Methodist Church Youth Ministry.
Additionally, the 2012 Charlotte Turkey Trot is funding the Charities Fund through the Race Packet Mailing Option. Have your complete packet mailed (Bib#, Tshirt and packet items). Registration Deadline is Nov. 2, 2012 for $25.
Course Description and Runner Support
Our course starts next to Southpark Mall and finishes in the SouthPark Mall in front of Dicks and beside the Symphony park. Participants will enjoy a safe and scenic run through South Charlotte. For a detailed course map, please visit our website. Water stops will be positioned on the course. Portable restrooms will be stationed at the Start/Finish line area and at the midway point of the 8K.
Chronotrack timing will be used for the 8K event. Chronotrack uses disposable chips, allowing for fast and accurate timing.
Stick around after you finish your event to cheer others on and enjoy food and drink with friends and family. Awards will be handed out and WLYT 102.9 will be on-site playing great music!

8K awards ceremony will be held for the top 3 Male and Female Overall winners and the top Male and Female Masters winners. Age group awards will also be given in the 8K. There will be no duplication of awards.
